Actemra Information
Actemra is a recombinant humanized-monoclonal anti-body that is used against IL-6R (interleukin-6 receptor. It is used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis which is moderate to severe in nature. It is effective in patients who do not respond adequately to 1 or more TNF-antagonist therapy. The generic drug is used as immune-suppressive drug. IL-6R is plays a vital role in the response of the immune system. The drug acts by inhibiting the signals of IL-6 receptors.
