Advair Diskus Information
Advair Diskus is a corticosteroid drug. It has anti-inflammatory properties. It is used for treating patients with asthma. It is also used for the maintenance of the treatment of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). The drug being a corticosteroid is known to inhibit many types of mediators and cells in the body which contributes to its effectiveness in treating COPD/ asthma. The generic medicine acts by inhibiting cell types like basophils, eosinophils, mast cells, macrophages, lymphocytes or neutrophils. The drug also acts by blocking the effects of mediators such as eicosanoids, histamines, leukotrienes or cytokines. Several pharmacies offer cheap Advair Diskus and it needs a prescription.
Advair Diskus Side Effects and Precautions
Allergic reactions are associated with Flutecasone/ Salmeterol that may occur in some patients. Advair Diskus may also lead to serious side effects. Dosage Information For Advair Diskus
The recommended dose of Advair Diskus for treating asthma is one inhalation in the morning and one inhalation in the evening for patients > 12 years of age, with a time difference of 12 hours. The maximum dose is 500/50 mcg to be administered daily twice. For patients 4-11 years old, 1 inhalation of 100/50 mcg is recommended twice daily.
