Afinitor Information
Afinitor is a sirolimus derivative that is a derivative of 42-O-(2-hydroxyethyl) in oncology. It is used in the advanced renal-cell cancer (carcinoma of kidney). It is a preferred drug for patients in whom the treatment of sorafenib and sunitinib has failed. The generic drug is also used in patients with organ transplantation to prevent rejection due to the suppression of immunity. The drug interferes with the growth of the cancer cells. By interfering with the cell growth, the drug slows down the spreading of the cancer in the entire body. Cheap Afinitor is offered by many leading pharmacies but has to be bought with a prescription.
