Emadine Information

Emadine is an anti-histamine drug of the second generation. It is used as an ophthalmic solution and is administered in the form of eye drops only. The drug is used for relieving the signs and symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis. The drug is a selective antagonist of histamine H1 receptor. Thus, after ocular administration, this generic drug inhibits the vascular permeability into the conjunctiva, which is stimulated by the histamine receptor. This way the drug induces an anti-allergic effect in the eyes. Thus, the drug helps in controlling the allergic symptoms. Cheap Emadine is readily/easily available in the market (at any pharmacy).

Emadine Side Effects and Precautions

Although Emedastine is tolerated well, you may experience certain common side effects of the drug. These commonly occurring effects of the drug are itching, burning, dryness or irritation in the eye(s) being treated. Blurred vision or other discomforts may also occur with Emadine treatment. If these side effects start bothering you by becoming worse or continue for a long time, then you must seek medical help.

The drug may also cause adverse reactions after the treatment is started. However, these may be rare in occurrence. The adverse reactions of Emedastine are ocular pruritis, tearing, staining of the cornea, edema of the eye lids, sensation of a foreign body within the eye(s), crusting of the eye lid-margin, decrease in visual activities, fatigue or ocular discharge. Do not buy Emadine if you are allergic to the drug.
