This medication is a part of the cholinesterase inhibitors class of drugs and is used for treating people inhibited by mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's happens because of the degeneration of specific nerve cells that are responsible for the manufacture of a chemical in the brain known as acetylcholine.
