Geodon information
Geodon is a second generation antipsychotic agent used to treat bipolar disorders and schizophrenia. It may be used as an adjuvant to lithium or valproate to prevent the return of bipolar episodes. The generic drug may be used singly to treat agitation of schizophrenics and acute episodes of mania or mixed episodes. It works by creating a balance in the normal chemical substances called neurotransmitters in the brain. It is available as capsules and as intramuscular injections.
