It is a small, flexible plastic rod containing 68 mg of a synthetic progestogen and etonogestrel which is inserted under the skin in your arm. It works by causing certain changes in the body to maintains high levels of synthetic progesterone. This prevents the release of ova from the ovaries and thus, results in prevention of pregnancy. Implanon also causes thickening of the natural mucus of the cervix neck, so it is difficult for sperms to move from the vagina into cervix. Many pharmaceutical stores sell cheap Implanon at a reasonable price.

The most common side effect of Etonogestrel implant is a change in either the pattern or quantity of menstrual periods. Menstrual periods become irregular and unpredictable throughout the time you use Etonogestrel. Bleeding may be more, less or there may be no bleeding at all. The time duration between periods may increase or decrease or there may be spotting between periods.
