Lipitor Information

Lipitor is used in lowering high cholesterol and triglycerides all over the world. It works by inhibiting the HMG aka beta hydroxy beta methyl glutaryl CoA reductase which is the primary enzyme responsible converting the HMG-CoA into mevalonate and is the major regulatory step of cholesterol biosynthesis. It reduces the levels of low density lipoprotein or LDL or "bad" cholesterol and increases the levels of high density lipoprotein or HDL or "good" cholesterol. Lipitor Side Effects and Precautions
