Trexall Information
This medicine is used for the treatment of some types of cancers in certain patients. Trexall is also used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and severe psoriasis. Discount Trexall may be used on its own or in conjunction with other drugs. This drug is an antimetabolite and it blocks an enzyme which is required for the growth of cancerous cells. Cheap Trexall thus slows the growth of abnormal skin cells and cancer cells. However, its mechanism of working for treating rheumatoid arthritis is not known. This generic medicine lessens the symptoms, such as stiffness and pain in RA patients.
Trexall Side Effects And Precautions
Do not take this drug without medical consultation, if you are pregnant. This drug may cause fetal death. In some cases, methotrexate may lead to birth defects. You must also take adequate precautions to ensure that you do not fall pregnant while undergoing this treatment. This drug may interact with other medicines especially with NSAID or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. If you take such drugs or are taking radiation therapy, then inform your doctor about this condition.
Methotrexate has certain side effects associated with it. These side effects include liver, kidney, skin, blood or bone marrow problems. You may be asked to undergo medical tests to check for the side effects. If you begin to have excess fluid in your stomach or develop sores in your mouth, then you should immediately consult your doctor.
Dosage Information On Trexall
This medicine should be given intramuscularly or orally. The dosage may range from 15 mg to 30 mg daily. The duration of the course is 5 days. The course may be repeated 3 to 5 times according to the condition of the patient. There should be a rest period of one or more weeks between the courses.
