Navoban Information
Navoban is an antagonist to the serotonin receptor (5-HT3) and an agonist to α7 nicotinic receptor. It is an antiemetic drug, which is used for the treatment of nausea/ vomiting. The drug is effective in treating the nausea/ vomiting that occurs after chemotherapy or that is caused by a surgery. This generic drug acts by inhibiting the effects of pre-synaptic 5-HT3 receptor that are located on the peripheral neurons as well as in the CNS. Navoban Side Effects and Precautions
You may have certain side effects that are common and less serious with Tropisetron. These may include headache, dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, feeling light headedn, sleepiness, tiredness, diarrhea, hot flushes or loss of appetite. If these side effects begin to bother you after taking Navoban, then inform your doctor about it.
Serious side effects of the drug include fainting or changes in the heartbeat. Let your doctor know immediately if you have any serious side effects. Dosage Information On Navoban
For treating nausea/ vomiting due to a surgery, the recommended dose of Navoban is 2 mg as an IV injection which is administered just before the surgery.
