Neulasta Information
Neulasta functions like a PEGylated-granulocyte colony stimulating-factor. It is an immune-stimulator drug. It is used to reduce the incidences of infection which are manifested by the febrile neutropenia. The drug is used in patients who have non-myeloid malignancies. Also, it is indicated for patients who are on myelo-suppressive anti-neoplastic drugs. The generic drug influences the maturation of progenitor cells into neutrophils. The drug reduces this maturation time by stimulating the neutrophil release from the storage of bone marrow. Besides, the drug increases the phagocytic activities of the neutrophils. Thus, the drug contributes to reducing the duration of neutropenic-phase. Discount Neulasta is a prescription drug.
