Nitoman Information

Nitoman is a drug which is used for the treatment of hyperkinetic movement disorders like Huntington's disease, tardive dyskinesia and hemiballismus. It is a Dopamine Reuptake inhibitor. This cheap Nitoman can also be used for treating tic disorders. It helps in depleting the brain's supply of neuro chemical dopamine. This generic drug is not for the treatment of levodopa induced dyskinetic movements. This medication should only be used in consultation with experienced physicians who are mainly engaged in the treatment of movement disorders.

Nitoman Side Effects and Precautions

It is advisable not to use discount Nitoman if the patient is allergic to Tetrabenazine. Avoid using this drug in case patient has history of clinical depression. Start treatment with Nitoman at least 14 days after the termination of the MAO inhibitor. It is very important that this drug should not be administered along with an MAO inhibitor, as there are few drugs which may interact with it. Use of this medicine may cause depression. Some severe side effects of using Nitoman or Tetrabenazine include: dizziness, symptoms of parkinsonism, depression, confusion, restlessness, disorientation, orthostatic hypotension, agitation, irritability, drooling, drowsiness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, akathisia, insomnia and hypotension.

Dosage Information for Nitoman

Initial dose of Nitoman should be low. The dosage should be increased slowly according to the response of the individual patient.
