Novantrone Information

Novantrone is an anti-neoplastic drug. It is referred to as an anthracenedione. It is used for the treatment of those patients who have primary progressive MS (multiple sclerosis). The drug is used to reduce the neurologic disability. The generic drug is also used to reduce the frequency of relapses. The drug acts by intercalating into the DNA (through hydrogen-bonding). Then it causes breaks in the DNA strand and cross-links. The drug also interferes with the RNA and inhibits the enzyme topoisomerase-II which is responsible for repairing and uncoiling of damaged DNAs. It is a prescription drug and cheap Novantrone can be bought from many reputed pharmacies.
