Relistor is an antagonist of peripherally acting µ-opioid. Opioid drugs are strong pain-killers. It is used for treating constipation that is opiod-induced. It is used for treating patients who are on palliative care and who do not respond adequately to the laxative therapy. The generic drug relieves chronic and severe pain, especially in patients with terminal illnesses. The drug acts by slowing down the contraction of the muscles in the intestine. Relistor Side Effects and Precautions
