Ultravist Information
Ultravist injecton is an iodinated contrast agent. The drug is used mainly for different intravenous and intra-arterial processes. The drug finds many usages in the intra-arterial procedures like cerebral arteriography, peripheral arteriography, coronary arteriography, visceral arteriography and left ventriculography. For intravenous processes like peripheral venography, excretory urography, contrast computed tomography of the human body, this drug is used extensively. The drug is also used in cases involving intra-abdominal, retroperitoneal or intrathoracic regions. Cheap Ultravist blocks the x-rays in our body and thus gives the images of the system. The vessels of our body through which the drug passes through become opaque.
Ultravist Side Effects and Precautions
The drug may cause heat or pain inside the body as it is a low-osmolality agent. Dosage Information for Ultravist
The drug can be taken in 4 ml to 12 ml dosage for vertebral arteries, 3 ml to 12 ml in case of carotid arteries in cerebral arteriography cases. The recommended dosage for aortic bifurcation is 25 ml to 50 ml, for femoral artery is 5 to 40 ml and for right and left coronary artery is 4 to 15 ml.
