Amerge Information

Amerge is a selective agonist of 5-hydroxytryptamine 1 (5-HT1) receptor-subtype. It is referred to as a triptan drug. It is used for the treatment of acute migraine attacks (with/without aura). It is used for treatment in adult patients. The generic medication is not used for prophylactic therapy for migraine. The drug binds to the 5-HT1B receptor as well as 5-HT1D receptor. This leads to the constriction of the cranial blood vessels. Thus, the drug acts on the blood vessels present around the brain and narrows them. Cheap Amerge is available as a prescription drug.
