Description of Benzamycin Gel

Benzamycin Gel is used to treat severe acne. The generic name of the drug is Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin.

You must buy Benzamycin Gel only as directed by the doctor. Before using the gel, wash and rinse your face with warm water. Dry your face with a towel. Apply a thin coat of gel on the affected areas and rub softly with the hands of the applicator provided with the drug. You must use Benzamycin Gel daily at the same time for best results.

Indications & Dosage of Benzamycin Gel

Benzamycin Gel contains a combination of two drugs- one is a macrolide antibiotic and the other is a keratolytic (drying) agent that has antibacterial properties. It slows down the growth of bacteria that cause acne.

Benzamycin Gel is for external use only. It should be used two times a day in the morning and evening for the best results. You must also seek the advice of a doctor before using the gel. If you miss a dose of Benzamycin Gel, try to take it immediately. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You must apply Benzamycin Gel only on the face. Make sure that the drug doesn’t come in contact with the eyes or lips. Avoid applying the gel on irritated skin or open wounds. If you are using any other topical applications on your face, use them only after one hour after applying Benzamycin Gel. While using the gel, make sure that all your cosmetics are water-based only. The results will be seen in 3-8 weeks time. If you don’t find any improvement after 12 weeks, consult your doctor. To get the best results, use the gel daily.

You must store the pack of Benzamycin Gel at room temperature. Keep it away from moisture and heat. Make sure that that the drug is closed tightly at all times. Discard the medicine after 3 months.
