Description of Estrace Cream
Estrace Cream is a vaginal cream used to treat itching, burning and dryness in and around the vagina, especially in post-menopausal women. The generic name of the drug is Estradiol Vaginal.

Measure the prescribed dose using the marked applicator provided with the cream. Stand, sit or lie down in a comfortable position where you can access the vagina. Indications & Dosage of Estrace Cream
Estrace Cream helps relieve menopausal symptoms by producing estrogen in women. It is also used as an alternative to hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
You must use Estrace Cream for 3-4 weeks to get the best results. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, avoid the skipped dose. Don’t take an overdose of Estrace Cream. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical help. The symptoms of overdose are vaginal bleeding, nausea and vomiting.
Estrace Cream may cause dizziness. Avoid driving after administering the cream. Avoid drinking too much alcohol during treatment, as it will result in serious side effects. Estrace Cream use may result in dark patches on the face. Don’t go out in the sun as sunburn may increase the patches. Estrace Cream may affect the blood sugar level of diabetic patients. You must conduct regular checkups to monitor your blood sugar level. Keep Estrace Cream at room temperature away from heat and moisture. Make sure that it is kept away from the reach of children.

Less serious side effects of Estrace Cream are:

- Stomach cramps
- Mild nausea and vomiting
- Mild bleeding
Serious side effects of Estrace Cream are:
- Severe allergic reactions such as rashes and hives
- Tightness in the chest
- Trouble breathing
- Swelling in the hands, legs and feet
- Persistent headache
- Severe nausea and vomiting
- Muscle pain
- Painful and difficult urination
You must tell your doctor if any of the serious side effects persist.

- Warfarin
- Prednisone
- Succinylcholine
- Phenobarbital
- Phenytoin
- Rifampin
