Description of Kemadrin

Kemadrin is used to treat Parkinson’s disease. The generic name of the drug is Procyclidine. It contains procyclidine hydrochloride, which is an anticholinergic.

You must buy Kemadrin only with a prescription from your doctor. Take the dose with food or shortly after eating to avoid stomach upset. Take Kemadrin with a full glass of water.

Indications & Dosage of Kemadrin

Kemadrin treats poor muscle control, spasms, restlessness, tremors and stiffness caused by Parkinson’s disease. It works by preventing these muscular conditions and relaxes the muscles. This in turn reduces muscle spasms.

The dosage of Kemadrin depends on various factors such as the health and medical condition of the patient and the response to treatment. The recommended dose of the drug is 3-4 tablets per day. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully while taking the tablet. Don’t take the drug in excess or lesser amounts than prescribed by your doctor. Don’t start, stop or change the drug without consulting the doctor. You must take Kemadrin on time. If you miss a dose, try to take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Don’t take an overdose of Kemadrin. An overdose may result in fast heartbeat, fast breathing, and flushed skin. Seek immediate medical attention in case of an overdose.

You must store Kemadrin at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Don’t keep the drug in the bathroom and kitchen. Make sure that the tablet is kept away from the reach of children and pets.
