Relafen Information

Relafen is an NSAID (that is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). It is a derivative of 1-naphthaleneacetic acid. The drug is used for relieving the signs as well as symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The drug is used for treating the pain and inflammation that occurs as a result of arthritis. Generic drug undergoes metabolism in the body and acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are potent mediators of inflammation and pain. Thus, the drug acts by reducing the effects of the mediators that cause inflammation. The drug is a prescription medicine. Also, cheap Relafen drug is now easily available.

Relafen Side Effects and Precautions

Common side effects of Nabumetone are skin rash, itching, blurred vision, gas, bloating, upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, mild heart-burn, stomach pain, nervousness, headache, dizziness or ringing in the ears. Relafen may cause serious side effects which include black/ tarry/ bloody stools, chest pain, breath shortness, problem with balance/ vision, slurred speech, coughing blood or coffee-grounds like vomit.

Dosage Information For Relafen

However, some patients may show improvement only at doses of 1,500 mg/ day or 2,000 mg/ day. A dose of 2,000 mg per day should not be exceeded.
