Relpax is a drug that is a second generation triptan medication. The drug is used for the treatment of migraine attacks. It is not used for treating the hemiplegic/ basilar migraine. The drug is effectively used for treating headaches due to migraine (with or without aura). It is suggested that the generic drug acts by 2 ways. One is that the drug acts on the intra-cranial blood vessels, leading to vasoconstriction. This correlates to the relief of the migraine headache.
