Aldara Cream Information

Aldara cream is a drug that is a modifier of the immune response. It is used topically only. It is used for the treatment of actinic keratosis, superficial basal-cell cancer and for external genital warts. The drug acts by stimulating the acquired as well as innate immune responses. The generic drug leads to the infiltration of the inflammatory cells at the site of skin where the drug is applied. This results in the apoptosis of the diseased tissues. However, the drug does not exert a direct anti-viral effect. Cheap Aldara cream is readily available in many contracted pharmacies and requires a doctor’s prescription as well.

Aldara Cream Side Effects and Precautions

Dosage Information For Aldara Cream

The therapy with the drug is continued for a maximum period of 16 weeks (with 2 applications/ week). The cream is applied just before the bedtime and is left on the skin for a period of 8 hours.
