Ditropan XL is an anti-cholinergic drug. It is available in the form of extended-release tablets. It is used for the treatment of an over-active bladder. It is also used for treating the symptoms associated with the over-active bladder which include urinary frequency/ urgency/ incontinence/ urge. The drug is recommended for patients who are 6 years of age and above. The generic drug is effective in patients who have symptoms of over-activity of the detrusor muscle, which is associated with spina bifida (a neurological condition). Dosage Information For Ditropan XL

The maximum dose per day is 20 mg. For treating adults, 5 mg or 10 mg (once a day) of the drug is administered as a starting dose.
