Emsam Information

Emsam is a MAO-inhibitor (mono-amine oxidase inhibitor). It is an anti-depressant drug. It is used in the form of transdermal patches. The drug is used for treating major depressive disorder (MDD). It is effectively used to treat those patients who are diagnosed with MDD that belongs to the DSM-IV category. As the name suggests, the generic drug acts by selectively inhibiting the effects of MAO-A and MAO-B. Thus, the drug prevents the metabolism of these chemicals of the brain. The symptoms of MDD are often due to the imbalance of chemicals within the brain. Now cheap Emsam is readily obtainable from any pharmacy.
