Epivir Information

Epivir is referred to as a synthetic NRTI drug (which means nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor). The drug is an anti-retroviral drug. It is used for the treatment of patients with HIV-1 infection (human immunodeficiency virus). The drug is not for treating HBV infection. The generic drug may be used as a single agent or in combination with other anti-retroviral drugs. The metabolites of the drug are incorporated in the DNA of the virus. This results in the termination of the DNA chain in the virus. The drug is prescription medication. Discount Epivir is not offered by many pharmacy stores.
