Tricor belongs to the fibrate class of drugs. The drug is used for reducing the cholesterol level, especially in patients who have cardiovascular diseases. It is also used for patients having mixed dyslipidemia or primary hyercholesterolemia. The drug is used for treating hyper-cholesterolemia. It is used as an adjunctive therapy along with diet.
