Tricor Information

Tricor belongs to the fibrate class of drugs. The drug is used for reducing the cholesterol level, especially in patients who have cardiovascular diseases. It is also used for patients having mixed dyslipidemia or primary hyercholesterolemia. The drug is used for treating hyper-cholesterolemia. It is used as an adjunctive therapy along with diet. Generic drug is indicated to reduce the LDL (low density lipoprotein), HDL (high density lipoprotein) and triglyceride levels in the adult patients. The drug acts by increasing the lipolysis, decreasing apoprotein-C-III production and eliminating triglyceride-rich elements from the blood.
